Swedish individualism vs the gospel

Swedens cities are some of the loneliest places in the world to live in.  The Swedish ideal if the individual has played a huge part in this reality.  What have our experiences been?  And how does the gospel challenge individualism?

I have been married to my wonderful Emelie since 2004. We have four children and lead a busy life and an open home. We seek to be a family that loves Jesus and welcomes people from all backgrounds. We fail often and so, are reliant on the grace and strength of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ. Together we are moving to Sweden in 2020 to plant a church plant in the city of Gothenburg. I love to watch movies, build stuff (everything from party costumes to tables to arcade machines), sing karaoke (poorly) and find out about the latest developments in consumer tech. Above all, I want to always grow in my understanding of the Bible and help others do the same. I have served as the Pastor of Evangelism at Chessington Evangelical Church since 2013, and before that served as a missionary with London City Mission since 2000.
